SCALD was formed in 1993 in Yaroslavl, Russia. The band created their unique style known as "ancient doom metal" and recorded their debut album "Will of the Gods is Great Power", which in the following years gained a cult status. Due to the tragic death of Agyl (vocals) in 1997 the band split up, but re-united in 2019 with Felipe Plaza Kutzbach of Procession on vocals to work on new material. ... more

Though the album versions with Paul Kearns are simply amazing, Hagthorn's vocals here elevate the two tracks into unspeakable heights. This is Solstice at its most epic. Really looking forward to new songs with this line-up, hope it lasts long enough.
